This page outlines several important areas to
check if you are experiencing computer problems
or difficulties in accessing the course.

 
Please check each of the points below before contacting support:
 

1.  The course uses animated flash graphics.  To display these graphics, your computer will need to have a copy of Flash Player installed.  Most computers have this installed already, but if you are experiencing problems, this the one of the first areas to check. You can quickly and easily download the Flash Player software provided you are connected to the internet. 
 
 
2.  Screen display settings.  Different computers have different screen resolution settings.  In order for the course to display, yours must be set at 1024 X 768 pixels.  To check this, follow the steps below:

Go to the Start menu, at the bottom left of your screen.

From the menu that appears, in the right column, select Control Panel:

From the selection of icons that appear, click on Display:

Then click on the Tab at the top right that says "Settings":

In this screen there is a slider (Highlighted in red above).  Click on and then drag the slider till it displays a screen resolution of 1024 X 768 OR MORE.  But not less!

(Note depending on the type of screen of your PC or laptop, the slider position  will be different from the diagram above)

Then click on "Apply" and "OK"

Your screen may go black for a few seconds, and then will re-appear.  Now try running the course.

 
3.  If you are using any Norton applications, particularly Norton Anti-virus, you need to disable these totally.  You should be able to Right-Click on the icon in the task bar at the bottom right of your screen.  Disable all functions of this application, and close your email application while you complete the course, then turn back on your anti-virus applications.
